Room Usage and policies

UBC Studios is happy to offer and support several spaces on campus intended to enable digital media creation. These spaces are equipped with unique technology to create and engage with various forms of digital media.

The following policies apply to all rooms:

  1. These are not study rooms. Active bookings that are not utilizing the technology in the space will be cancelled.
  2. Before leaving a space, please restore it to a clean and orderly state. Putting chairs back, ensuring all devices are plugged in, and returning any equipment to its rightful space.

 

Policies relating to COVID-19:

  1. Users must complete Preventing COVID-19 Infection in the Workplace (UBCO) training before using the space
  2. Users must follow capacity guidelines and abide by physical distancing measures
  3. Users must abide by and are expected to follow all protocols
  4. Rooms have a three-person maximum occupancy
  5. Users must clean the space before and after use, according to instructions provided
  6. Do not move, add or remove furniture

 

UBC Okanagan offers classrooms in the Library to faculty and instructors who wish to record lectures or produce multimedia content for their courses.

Locations: LIB303, LIB305, LIB306, LIB312, LIB317

Hours of operation:
9AM-12PM; 1PM-4PM

Monday, Wednesday, Friday (excluding holidays)

Room Occupancy: 1–3 people

General policies

  1. Bookings can be made for mornings (9AM-12PM) or afternoons (1PM-4PM)
  2. Bookings can be made up to 21 days in advance
  3. Bookings are limited to faculty, instructors and graduate students

Hours of Operation:
7AM – 10PM Monday to Friday
10AM – 10PM Saturday and Sunday
10AM – 6PM Holidays
*UBC Studio support available 9AM-4PM Monday-Friday (excluding holidays)

Room Occupancy: 1-2 people

No Food or Drink.

*Bookings and Studio support available 9AM-4PM Monday-Friday (excluding holidays)

Room Occupancy: 25-30 people

First-time users are required to attend a room orientation.
Please be respectful of noise levels with our Library neighbors.
